Medical Billing Specialist

About the Role:
Frontline RCM is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely submission of medical claims, managing claim denials, and securing optimal reimbursements for our clients. You’ll be an essential link between healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients — helping to keep the revenue cycle running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies electronically and on paper when necessary
• Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe
• Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits for treatments and procedures
• Work with healthcare providers and other team members to resolve billing issues
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
• Keep up to date with payer guidelines and coding changes

Requirements:

• Proven experience in medical billing, preferably in a healthcare or RCM setting
• Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Familiarity with billing software (e.g., Kareo, AdvancedMD, or similar)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
• High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification is a plus)
